Not at launch. GTA 6 releases on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Rockstar hasn’t announced a PC version. Take-Two’s CEO has said PC is becoming more important to the company, but he hasn’t confirmed a GTA 6 PC release. (Confirmed: no PC version announced)
“GTA 6 PC” is one of the most-searched GTA 6 questions, especially in India. Here’s the honest answer, what Take-Two has actually said, and what Rockstar’s history suggests.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC at launch?
No. Rockstar’s official GTA VI website lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for the 19 November launch. There’s no PC listing on Steam, the Epic Games Store or the Rockstar Games Launcher. (Confirmed)
What has Take-Two said about PC?
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has spoken about PC twice in the past year, without confirming GTA 6 for it:
- November 2025: speaking to CNBC, he said the games business is “moving towards PC” and towards more open platforms (PC Gamer).
- 17 September 2026: at an investor meeting, he said Take-Two generally launches on platforms with a meaningful audience and that PC is “becoming more and more important to our company over time” (GamesRadar+).
Neither is an announcement. But both make a PC version sound like a question of when, not if. (Reported)

How long did Rockstar’s past PC versions take?
Rockstar has a clear pattern: consoles first, PC later.
| Game | Console release | PC release | Gap |
| GTA 5 | September 2013 | April 2015 | About 19 months |
| Red Dead Redemption 2 | October 2018 | November 2019 | About 13 months |
If GTA 6 follows the same pattern, a PC version would arrive sometime in late 2027 or 2028. That’s our estimate based on history, not an announcement. (Not confirmed)
What are the GTA 6 PC requirements?
There are none yet, because there’s no PC version. (Not confirmed) Any “GTA 6 PC requirements” list you see today is a guess. Be especially careful of sites offering a “GTA 6 PC download”: no legitimate one exists, and those files are often malware.
GTA 6 Release Date: 19 November 2026, Preload & Countdown
Should you wait for PC or buy a console?
It depends on how much you want to play at launch:
- Want to play in November? You’ll need a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar says the game plays best on PS5.
- Only play on PC? Expect a long wait, probably a year or more, based on Rockstar’s history. You’ll also avoid spoilers more easily if you mute leak talk (see our leaks explainer).
- Got a console already? Play it on console now. When a PC version arrives, it may well bring extra features, as GTA 5’s did.
Our take: A PC version looks likely eventually, but nothing points to it arriving soon. If GTA 6 is a must-play for you this year, plan on a console. We’ll update this page the moment Rockstar announces anything.
