The playable GTA 6 characters
Jason Duval
Rockstar says Jason grew up around grifters and crooks, joined the Army to get away from a troubled youth, and ended up in the Leonida Keys working for local drug runners. He wants an easy life, but it keeps getting harder. Full profile: Jason Duval in GTA 6.
Lucia Caminos
Rockstar says her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk, and fighting for her family put her in Leonida Penitentiary. Now out, she says it’s only smart moves from here. Full profile: Lucia Caminos in GTA 6.
You can switch between the two, as shown in the Extended Look gameplay video.
Supporting GTA 6 characters
Cal Hampton
Jason’s friend, who also works with Brian. Rockstar describes Cal as a man who believes much of what he reads online and feels safest at home, listening in on Coast Guard radio with a few beers. Full profile: Cal Hampton in GTA 6.
Brian Heder
One of the last old-school drug runners in the Keys. Jason lives in one of Brian’s properties and helps him out in return. Brian appears in both trailers, and in the Extended Look he offers Jason and Lucia a job at a Vice City rooftop bar. (Confirmed) Full profile: Brian Heder in GTA 6.
Boobie Ike
A Vice City name who turned his street reputation into a business: property, a strip club and a recording studio, Only Raw Records. He’s one of the most connected people in Vice City’s music scene.
Dre’Quan Priest
A hustler who moved into music management. He signed the duo Real Dimez to Boobie’s label, Only Raw Records.
Real Dimez
Bae-Luxe and Roxy, best friends since high school, who went viral and got signed to Only Raw Records through Dre’Quan. They’re the clearest link between GTA 6’s music and its story. More on the game’s music in our GTA 6 radio stations list. Full profile: Real Dimez in GTA 6.
Raul Bautista
An experienced, confident bank robber who is always looking for new talent for his next job. Rockstar’s description suggests he’s the kind of partner who pulls Jason and Lucia into bigger heists. Full profile: Raul Bautista in GTA 6.
Characters from the Extended Look
These three don’t have official profiles on Rockstar’s site yet, but they appear in the 27 August Extended Look gameplay video. (Shown)
- Valentina: a returning face from GTA Online who hires Jason and Lucia as security for Megamundo’s opening party.
- Andrés de León: linked to Megamundo, whose US headquarters opening Jason and Lucia are hired to guard.
- Petra Navarro: Megamundo’s COO, introduced to Jason and Lucia at the party just before it turns into a firefight.
Which characters are in the launch trailer?
- Jason: polishing a boat with Cal at Brian’s Marina, then talking about leaving the Army on bad terms. (Shown)
- Lucia: calling Jason from prison, then out but wearing an ankle monitor. (Shown)
- Cal: working alongside Jason at the marina. (Shown)
- Raul: in an interrogation scene with Jason and Lucia. (Shown)
Brian himself isn’t the focus, but the trailer opens at his marina. Every clue about the cast is in my GTA 6 launch trailer analysis.
GTA 6 characters: voice actors
Rockstar hasn’t officially named any GTA 6 voice actors. (Not confirmed) The one exception so far is actor Stephen Root, who told the Associated Press in September 2026 that his character is in the game, and reports link him to Brian Heder. (Reported) Most other names you see online come from insider claims or leaks, so we don’t list them. Why we avoid leaked details is explained in GTA 6 leaks explained.
My take
Characters are what make Rockstar stories stay with you. I still think about Arthur Morgan from RDR2 years later, and GTA 5’s trio made every mission fun. With Jason and Lucia as a couple, plus people like Cal, Boobie and Raul around them, GTA 6 already feels like it has a strong cast. I like that Rockstar is showing them slowly through official profiles. I’m saving the full story for launch and not reading any spoilers.
